Betty Bonkers

Betty Bonkers

We like the 1960s version of Las Vegas better than the modern day version, and the retro presentation has been captured well by Quickspin in Betty Bonkers. It’s not hard to imagine this show girl rubbing shoulders (and perhaps other things) with the likes of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, and her show is located somewhere along Fremont Street. You get to see her live in the bonus round, which comes with plenty of fireworks to boot.
The classic 3 reels grid comes with 5 paylines, but this game keeps throwing different modifiers your way via the varied Betty’s Menu. You get 4 different modifiers, and the jackpot game can land you prizes up to 10,000x in the bonus round (1,000x in the base game). Betty’s Menu triggers more often during the bonus round as well, and the overall max win is a solid10,407x your stake. A nostalgic trip to Sin City will probably appeal to many gamblers, and it worked out quite well for us at least.
The fruity symbols pay between 1 and 15 x your stake for 3 of a kind wins, and you getWild symbolsto help you out on all 3 reels. The Wilds step in for pay symbols to complete wins, and wilds pay 30x your stake should 3 wilds land on 1 of the 5 paylines. This makes the wild symbol the highest value symbol in the game.
TheBetty’s Menuis seen above the reels, and the feature triggers when you land exactly2 scattersin the base game. This gives you1 of 4 modifiers, the jackpot feature, or the bonus round. It works as follows:
You can also be awarded a Jackpot feature, and in the base game you can win aMin, Med, or Max jackpot prizeworth10x, 100x, or 1,000x your stake, respectively. Every win on the middleBonkers Linein the bonus round increases the Jackpot values, and they max out at100x, 1,000x, and 10,000x your stakefor the Min, Med, or Max jackpots, respectively.
TheBonus Roundcan also trigger from theBetty’s Menu feature, and this gives you6, 9, or 12 free spinsrandomly assigned. You can trigger theMega Free Spinsround by landing3 scattersin the base game, and this gives you20 free spins. During the bonus round, you get+1 extra spin, +1 to the Bonker Win Line Multiplier, and+1 feature from the Betty’s Menuwhen you land on the free spins icon.
TheBonkers Linebecomes active in the bonus round only, and any win on the middle payline will add+1 to the Bonkers Multiplier. The jackpot values increase as well, and you are granted a feature from Betty’s Menu. TheBonkers Multipliercan go as high as x10, and it boosts all wins on the Bonkers Line only. Non-UK players can pay20x the staketo get a Betty’s Menu feature, or300x the staketo get theMega Free Spins Round.
Nothing too exciting happened for us in the base game, so you can safely skip to 0:50 into the 4:18-minute highlights video. This is where we purchase the Mega Bonus Round, and the triggering spin landed us a pretty solid payout up front. You can see for yourself how we fared in the feature by hitting the play button below.
We enjoyed the retro Vegas presentation you get in this game, as the glitzy glamour has been toned down a bit compared to most Vegas slots. This was the turf of the likes of Sinatra and Elvis, and it’s also depicted in the infamous Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas. Anyway, Betty Bonkers is a solid take on the classic 3-reeler genre from Quickspin, and we assume Betty herself is the cowgirl seen above the reels.
You get to see her on stage in her smashing red dress in the bonus round, and she’s got plenty of exciting features on her menu. These trigger quite frequently too, breaking up the base game grind in unique ways on a regular basis. This is not least the case when the Bonkers Line becomes active in the bonus round, and it can lead to solid payoutsup to 10,407x your stake. The max win hit rate is 1 in 100 million though, but with the kind of multiplier action you get here anything is possible.
