Slugger Time

Slugger Time

Slugger Time kind of looks more threatening than it actually is, at least in terms of how graphic the visuals turned out to be after we’d finished admiring the splash screen. We wouldn’t wanna bump into these animal-masked street thugs on an abandoned subway station though, or anywhere else for that matter, but there is very little actual violence in this Quickspin follow-up toCabin Crashers.
We might as well reveal it up front, so yes, Slugger Time is a pure reskin job, so there is nothing new to see here in terms of features. The math model is the same as well, and the base game is all about multiplier wilds. Wilds are sticky in either of the 4 bonus round options, and it’s all about racking up as many multiplier wilds as possible. The cartoonish style sort of takes the edge off, like in the original game, and it’s a fairly decent clone if nothing else.
The premium symbols pay between 5 and 40 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and wilds can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 in all stages of the game. Thewildsstep in for regular pay symbols to help complete wins, and they come withrandom multiplier values of x2, x3, x4 or x5in the base game. If multiple wilds are part of the same win, the multiplier values are added together before the win is boosted.
TheChicken Siege Bonus Roundtriggers when you land3 knuckle duster fist scatterson reels 1, 3 and 5, and this takes you to theFight Picker screen. You can choose from4 bonus round optionsas follows:
The big difference in the bonus round is thatall multiplier wildsthat appearbecome sticky on the grid. They will thus remain in place for the remainder of the feature. Non-UK players, and anyone eligible, maybuy the bonus round for 75x the total stake. This gives you the same 4 options as already presented above. The RTP hovers around 96.50 % for all 4 bonus buy options.
You get to see quite a few multiplier wilds in the base game, before we purchase the bonus round at 1:41 into the 3:40-minute highlights video. We went with the randomized option, which gave us 6 free spins and x2-x3 multiplier wilds. Hit the play button below to see for yourself how we fared against the masked hooligan thugs.
The cartoonish visual style is very similar to Cabin Crashers, which we like, but we only wish Quickspin had put some effort into doing something new and exciting in the feature department also. There is no actual violence on display in this game, but it comes with a somewhat menacing atmosphere nonetheless. The game is fast-paced with the turbo switched on, and the multiplier wilds can do serious damage also in the base game.
Keep in mind that your bonus round choice has a massive impact on the potential, which rangesfrom 5,111x to 22,144xyour stake, so choose your fight carefully. The fact that you can get all 4 options for the same moderate price of 75x does tell you something about expected average returns though. Overall, we prefer the original Cabin Crashers. Turning zombies into multiplier wilds goo via buckshots is just more satisfying than the baseball bat-wielding rabbit-ears hooligan you get in this game.
Pros
Cons
Cabin Crashers- is Quickspin’s highly entertaining zombie-themed original release, and the shotgun-tooting cabin dwellers certainly know how to handle this horror show. The features and the math model are identical, so you’re looking at a 22,144x potential also in this game.
Eastern Emeralds- is a highly popular Quickspin release, at least it used to be, and you’ll benefit from multiplier wilds that can multiply up to x120 in the main game. The most volatile bonus round option comes with x8 multiplier wilds, and the FS potentials range between 2,294x and 16,003x your stake.
Hooligan Hustle- is a more realistic cartoon-style installment from Play’n Go, and you’ll see both riots and gang fights in this brutal game. The number of win ways can explode to 248,832 via the symbol split mechanic, and you get modifiers from a Rumble Row reel. You get 3 options when the bonus round triggers, and you can win up to 10,000x your stake.
