Tigers Glory Ultra

Tigers Glory Ultra

Quickspin has pulled a stunt similar to NetEnt’s MAX series, and Tiger’s Glory Ultra contains the originalTiger’s Gloryas a ‘Classic Mode’ in-game option. The Ultra version is more volatile in the sense that the base game is even more of an uneventful grind, but the big difference is that the Enraged Tigers never lose a battle in this version. This can have a huge impact in the bonus round.
Visually, not much has changed except for the red background. This makes it look like The Colosseum is lit up by flares, perhaps from time-travelling Euro 2020 fans celebrating Italy’s victory. A bonus buy has been included, which is a welcome gift to those in applicable jurisdictions, and fans of the original will probably enjoy this even more grizzly version. If not, you can always switch to the Classic Mode, and see if you like that better.
The wild can land in the base game only, and it’s not really a symbol you’ll notice all that much. It will step in for all regular pay symbols to help you form winning combinations, but it will usually not have a massive impact. The wild holds no value of its own.
As you can probably glean from the above, the base game doesn’t offer all that much action, and even less so than in the original Tiger’s Glory. The Bonus Round is triggered when you land3, 4, 5 or 6 scattersanywhere in sight, and this awards7, 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively.
You can land the regular top-tier Tiger symbol during the feature, as in the base game, but what you really want is theEnraged Tiger symbol(look for the red frame instead of the golden one). An animated battle between the Tiger and the Gladiator plays out per Enraged Tiger symbol you land, but the big twist is that the Tiger always wins inUltra Mode.
When the Tiger wins, the symbol becomes stickyfor the duration of the feature. What’s more, the sticky Enraged Tiger symbols pay from any position, meaning that they don’t need to be adjacent or form win lines from left to right. This means that repeat wins per spin are possible once you’ve secured enough sticky tigers. The first Enraged Tiger that lands on each reel also awards+1 extra spin.
Players who are lucky enough to find themselves in the right jurisdiction, canpurchase the Bonus Rounddirectly from the in-game menu (not for UK players). You get 3 choices in that regard, and these are as follows:
Nothing much happened for us in the base game, so we decided to purchase the top-tier bonus round after a while. This happens around 0:48 into the 5-minute highlights video, and the feature plays out with 15 free spins for starters exactly at the 1-minute mark. See for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.
With the Turbo switched on, the pace of this Ultra version is excellent all the way. Even during 2-scatter teasing sequences there are no exaggerated hiccups that slow you down. This is good, as escaping the base game grind by triggering the bonus round is a high priority in this follow-up (like it also was in the original), not least for those unfortunate enough to live in jurisdictions where it cannot be purchased.
We don’t know what they’ve fed or injected into the tigers since last time, but in Tiger’s Glory Ultra the ferocious beast is always the ‘glorious one’ that wins the battle and becomes sticky. Repeat sticky bonus round wins is the name of the game in other words, and it’s possible to rack up as much as32,464xyour stake in this enhanced Ultra version. That’s more than twice the 13,830x that’s on offer in ‘Classic Mode’.
Pros
Cons
Tiger’s Glory- is the original Quickspin release that’s also available as the ‘Classic Mode’ in the Ultra version at hand. In this version however, the tiger does not always win, meaning the tiger symbols will not always become sticky. The volatility is still high though, and you can win up to 13,830x your stake.
Rome The Golden Age- is a gladiator release from NetEnt, and it comes with frames that turn symbols, as well as the adjacent symbols, wild. You will collect symbols to increase the bonus round multiplier up to x1,000, and you can win up to 100,000x your stake in said bonus round.
Wild Gladiators- is a Pragmatic Play release set in the Colosseum, and it comes with a win multiplier reel in addition to the 5 regular reels with 25 paylines. The gladiators duke it out on the middle positions of the reels, and wilds will literally rain down during the Super Wild feature. There is also a bonus round, and you can win up to 4,000x your stake.
